When you are traveling and away from home for extended periods of time (for competition, training, etc) what meal do you crave the most?

My wife’s healthy home cooking, not always easy to find quality food on the road, like we eat at home.

If you could have any three people (dead or alive) over for dinner who would they be? Why?

Tom penny (skateboarder), Travis rice, Travis Parker (snowboarder) strange mix, but Tom Penny was my favorite Skateboarder when I was growing up. Travis rice because what he has done with snowboarding combined with movie making and Travis Parker because of his fun and inspiring snowboarding that helped define mine!

How do you relax? Do you have any favourite hobbies that help you winddown?

Netflix, tea, and chill with my wife

How have things changed for you and your training during this pandemic?

To be honest, I now work from home and have a yard park to go and ride when I need a break or think of new tricks!

Has the pandemic impacted how you can prepare for your sport? Will/Is your competition/race/etc schedule being impacted?

Not so much, as I don’t compete anymore!

What do you love most about Kemper Snowboards?

There is a lot to love about Kemper, the boards ride and perform amazing, which at the end of day is number 1. More so, I appreciate the team, family and support the brand has shown me. Lastly the heritage is just a really cool aspect to know what I am riding is inspired from before I ever snowboarded.

Our warranty, our history, our strive to be different and original!

What is your favorite product? Why?

The freestyle line as a whole, perfect camber profiles and styling

What do you expect from a brand that you work with?

Respect, and being proud of what I do on the board!

How long have you been working with Kemper Snowboards? How did that relationship start?

2 years, it was a very natural progression. I was on Sims which shut their doors and changed directions, and Kemper was just starting, I appreciate riding for a brand that has a story and history

What is the best advice you can give to younger athletes or aspiring snowboard athletes?

Work hard, market yourself, don’t take things too seriously, and never stop progressing!

Do you have any tips for finding motivation to push through tough days?

For me that motivation has always been snowboarding, it’s kept me positive, motivated and always been my happy place!

Have you learned any travelling tips or tricks through your experiences?

Always be friendly and kind, as you never know who the person sitting next to you is. Simply Starting a conversation takes nothing and can change your life.

How do you prepare for your event? Do you have any tips for handling the stress or performance anxiety?

For me it was the work leading up to an event, practicing my tricks/runs so much that I can come in with the confidence to not worry. But when it came to throwing a Hail Mary it was just believing in myself and skills.

How do you cope with adversity in your sport? Whether it’s a bad day, bad weather, equipment failure, cancelled event, etc?

That one comes down to always staying positive and never taking things too seriously, it’s all about the fun so why not find a positive way to look at those things!
